RTG SHIPS FIRST PRODUCTION MODELS OF THE RNA-1845a

Reno, NV, Sept 18 - Raven Technology Group (RTG) shipped its first production models of its RNA-1845a today in a move that underscored the viability of its core product.

 ”This is really an exciting and significant moment in the life of our company,” said Eric Juillerat, President and CEO of RTG.  “We always firmly believed that our product was innovative and valuable, but now we know that our customers think so, too.”

The RNA-1845 takes a standard, 4-20 milliamp signal from an industrial transmitter and converts it to Ethernet.  That signal can then be delivered to an HMI computer within the plant, to a traditional control system, or to a web browser on the Internet.

Juillerat said the timing of the sale made sense, because industrial and manufacturing companies are beginning to taking advantage of Ethernet and other technologies associated with the Internet. 

“It is a well-known fact that the Internet has revolutionized many industries around the world,” Juillerat said.  “But it wasn’t until recently that industrial and manufacturing companies began to see an opportunity to use Ethernet and the web to increase efficiencies.”

The product has applications in the oil, gas, and mining industries, as well as in green energy production such as wind, solar and geothermal.

“When we add up the number of environments that would benefit from the RNA-1845a, we come up with a total that is truly staggering,” Juillerat said.
